Routine
LP/download
Blackford Hill, released 18th July 2025

Pre-order here via Bandcamp

Routine is a collection of thirteen previously unheard tracks recorded between 1996-97.

These tracks are drawn from the daily working practice adopted by Ultramarine at their studio of the time on Coronet Street, behind London's Hoxton Square.

Often the result of a single day's work, these pieces find the duo developing their palette, experimenting with sounds, treatments and techniques. Recorded as live mixes straight to tape, the results have the immediacy of new ideas freshly captured.

All tracks recorded direct to DAT at Survey, London, 1996-1997.

Mastered from the original tapes by Jason Goz, Transition Mastering Studios, London, 2024.

Sleeve artwork by Guillaume de Ubéda.

Routine is available to pre-order via Bandcamp and will be in record stores worldwide (distributed by Kudos).

A User’s Guide
2xLP/download
WRWTFWW Records, released 14th February 2025

Purchase here via Bandcamp

Ultramarine’s fifth album A User’s Guide was originally released on the New Electronica label in 1998.

Now reissued on the great Swiss imprint WRWTFWW. Remastered from the original DAT tapes by Jason Goz at Transition Mastering, pressed on black double-vinyl. Includes new sleeve notes by dance music historian Matt Anniss.

On the rare occasions that Ultramarine’s story is told, the duo’s fifth album, 1998’s A User’s Guide, tends to get omitted from the narrative. Radically different to anything the duo released before or since, it has remained a slept-on, timeless and inherently futurist classic ever since.

$10 Rework
12” single/download
Real Soon, released 11th November 2022

Purchase here via Bandcamp
Ultramarine & Anna Domino meet again for a reworking of their collaborative track $10 Heel.

The song originally appeared on the Ultramarine album Signals Into Space (Les Disques du Crépuscule, 2019). $10 Rework replaces the urgent, jittery rhythm of the original with a straighter House backbone and then proceeds to disassemble the structure with a pair of freestyle, hands-on-the-desk, on-the-fly dub mixes.

Anna Domino's stream-of-consciousness lyrics tell the impressionistic tale of post-club after-hours chaos in Times Square, NYC circa 1979. Anna raps off studio equipment brand names like passing neon signs glimpsed in a blur through a taxi cab window.
